(C:4) For a year he practiced as veterinarian in Kingston, but for the 4 decades from 1949 till his death he was a veterinarian at Lancaster, in GC. He served on Lancaster (village) Council, and was reeve (1951, 1954) of Lancaster village. Roman Catholic. He died at Lancaster, and is buried at St. Joseph’s cemetery there. Dr Abbey was interested in and promoted sports, and took part in a wide range of community activities, including the establishment of a medical clinic at Lancaster. | + | |
