The family lived in the Williamstown area (probably the 2nd Concession of Charlottenburgh Township), in GC, for a year before moving on to Windsor, Ont. Igor Kaplan was later noted as a lawyer for Conrad Black. “Some legal moves by Mr. Kaplan guaranteed Mr. Black the shares of two major Argus shareholders that he needed to win control of one of Canada’s most powerful holding companies.” Igor Kaplan died of cancer at the early age of 49.
