-<tab>The Rev. Duncan McRae’s son, Dr Robert Forbes McRae, was born in Winnipeg in 1914 and grew up in China (B. A. and M. A., University of Toronto, Ph. D. 1946 from Johns Hopkins University). Aged 28, he was a naval lieutenant in the Dieppe Raid of Aug. 1942. He was reported missing after the raid (//Standard Freeholder// 9 Sept. 1942), but survived as a prisoner of the Germans.
