====== Bathurst, Charles Sarto ====== 
(2 Aug. 1903-23 March 1987), priest and administrator. (Rev. Charles Bathurst, S. J., Charles S. Bathurst) Born at Dalhousie Mills, GC. Parents: Duncan James Bathurst (1861-1944), who was born at Dalhousie Mills and was a general merchant there, and his wife Marie (Maria) Harris (1861-1945), who was born in Diamond Springs, Calif. Charles Sarto Bathurst was educated at Lancaster Township Public School No. 12, Maryvale Abbey at Glen Nevis, the Jesuit Novitiate at Guelph, Immaculée-Conception in Montreal, the Gregorian University in Rome, and St. Robert’s Hall, Pomfret Center, Conn. He was ordained priest at Rome, in the Church of the Gesù, by Cardinal Marchetti 25 July1936. Fr Bathurst taught at Campion College, Regina, (where he had taught, also, before he was ordained), and he was an administrator at Loyola College, Montreal, and a pastor in Montreal and at Port Arthur, and then treasurer at Saint Mary’s University, Halifax. He died at Pickering, Ont. He was a brother of Thomas W. Bathurst. Their sister, Rev. Mother Eileen Bathurst, was a member of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart, and another sister, Sister Superior Mary Rita (Lillian) was a member of the Sisters of Mercy.
