====== McKenna, Teresa Elizabeth ====== (9 July 1885-14 Dec. 1976), named Sister St. Charles and Sister Mary St. Charles, member of religious community, Precious Blood sister. Born at Colgan, Ontario. Parents: Dr Charles McKenna and his wife Mary Anne Derham. Her training included education by the Loretto Sisters in Toronto. In 1922 she entered the Precious Blood Monastery in Toronto. She was superior of monasteries of the Precious Blood in Toronto, Vancouver and Bellevue, Ohio, before coming to Alexandria as superior in 1958. For the remainder of her life the monastery in Alexandria was her home. She was the foundress of the monastery of which she was superior in Bellevue. Sister St. Charles died at the monastery in Alexandria, and was buried in the cemetery at the monastery grounds, Alexandria. She painted the stained glass windows of the monastery chapel in Alexandria.
