| (7 Jan. 1846-1 March 1904), clergyman. Born at Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Que. He was ordained to the Roman Catholic priesthood in 1869. An active career followed as priest, teacher, university administrator, and author. He was the author of //L’enfant perdu et retrouvé ou Pierre Cholet// (Montreal, 1887), which is based on the real-life story of a man from St-Polycarpe, Que., who in later life had GC associations: see Pierre Cholet in the present dictionary.
