(1946-3 March 1991), sportsman. (Billy Gebbie) Parents: Douglas Gebbie and his wife Helen Vail. William Gebbie, widely known as a hockey player and hockey coach in GC, was an employee of Wally Hope, in auto parts, Alexandria, and an Alexandria resident. He died Glengarry Memorial Hospital. He was married to Rita Wetering. (two children) The Billy Gebbie Arena, in Alexandria, was named after him.
