McIntosh, James A.
(died 28 July 1916, aged 70), contractor. (Donald A. McIntosh) Born in GC (as his obituaries say) or at at St. Andrew’s, Stormont County. Parents: Alexander McIntosh and his wife Janet MacDonald. He was apparently of U E Loyalist descent. As young men, he and his older brother Donald A. McIntosh settled in the United States. For his work as a contractor, see the entry for the brother. Like the brother, he travelled extensively in retirement. He died at his home in Milwaukee. Mason. About 10 years before his death, he married Kate Pier of Milwaukee. There were apparently no children.
