McLennan, Alexander

(14 Oct. 1833-9 May 1913), lumberman. (Squire McLennan, Alexander (Squire) McLennan, Alexander McLennan (Squire), Alexander McLennan (squire)) His father was John (Squire) McLennan, a native of Scotland. “For probably half a century he [Alexander] was more or less engaged in lumbering which brought him in contact with many people…” Alexander McLennan died at his home on the Front of Lancaster. He was married to Margaret Cameron (22 Sept. 1836-2 March 1920). He was the half-brother of Hugh McLennan the Montreal businessman and of John McLennan the MP.
