(Vaidja) (died Dec. 1979, aged about 51), physician. (P.G. Vaidya) Native of India. Dr Vaidya was a physician for the Apple Hill area, from 1970 till his death. He was based at the Dr George V. McDonald Memorial Clinic at Apple Hill, which was officially opened in Aug. 1970, soon after Dr Vaidya began his practice. He is remembered for his intellectual interests. After other physicians had ceased to do so, he continued to make house calls. He died from a heart attack. He had a Ph.D. in anatomy, and served on the staff of the Department of Anatomy, University of Ottawa.
