He was married to Marie Tamisia or Tamisiea. (one child) The Glengarry News of 2 Jan. 1964 reported that Donald A. MacDougall, a Glengarrian living in North Hollywood, California, had published a volume of verse, Random Rhymes, which contained some GC material. It has not been possible to trace a surviving copy of this book. Donald A. MacDougall died in North Hollywood. His poem, dated 18 Aug. 1915, on the destruction by fire the previous month of the Church of St. Martin of Tours at Glen Robertson, is printed in the centenary history of the diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall. (Villeneuve 258-259) Despite some archaism of language, fashionable at the time, it is a work of high technical expertise.
